• Produces wear-resistant over-lays on cast iron
• Excellent for repairing slurry pumps and cast iron subjected to wear
• Produces sound, porosity-free welds even on dirty, greasy, contaminated cast iron
• Economical – Costs less than most nickel-based electrodes
• Non-Overheating – Allows use of the whole rod without it turning red, causing the flux to break off
