The hole in the center of the pads also assist with pad heat by providing a path for heat to escape while work is performed on the surface. Additionally, the center hole helps with visually aligning the pad onto backing plates that have a similar center hole. Pairs great with Kent’s Heavy Leveling Compound or Medium Leveling Compound.
