(Pack of 5)

SKU:CW1741 Item#: CW1741

Cronatron®

CW1740 - Carbide Size (1/4"-3/8")
CW1741 - Carbide Size (3/16"-1/4")
Superior Advantages
• Maximum carbide content provides maximum abrasion resistance
Composite rod deposits tungsten carbides on a wide variety of metals
Hardness – Matrix: Rc 60-70 Hardness – Carbides: Knoop – 2400 Application Temperature: 1,300°F to 1,600°F (704°C to 871°C)
Typical Applications
• Augers
• Conveyor chutes
• Crusher liners and jaws
• Truck bed liners
Usage ProcedureSurface must be free of rust, scale, paint, grease, etc. Using a neutral flame and No. 6 or higher torch tip, tin the surface by melting a small portion of the matrix and heating part to a dull red. The new flux coating on CRONAWEAR TUNGSTEN 75 will be a great aid for this tinning procedure. Once tinned, apply Cronawear Tungsten 75 by using continuous rotating movement of torch and filler. Avoid overheating the carbides. CRONABRAZE™ 30F may be used as a buildup prior to applying
Maximum Abrasion Resistance
30F Brazing Rod can be used as a base. F21 Flux is recommended.
