777 Austenitic High Impact Hard Facing Stick Rod Electrode, 50 to 54 (WH) HRC Hardness, 150 to 220 Amps, AC/DCRP Polarity, 3/16"
(Pack of
5)
SKU:CW1061 Item#: CW1061
Designed for low abrasion resistance and high impact situations.
Superior Advantages
Work hardens under heavy impact conditions
Unlimited pass-over-pass applications
High operator appeal smooth running, quiet and minimal sparks
For severe impact and extreme shock (torch cuttable)
Tensile Strength: 116,000 PSI
Hardness: Rc 47
Polarity: AC or DC Reverse
Elongation: 38%
Typical Applications
Bucket teeth
Hammer mill and mill swing hammers
Tampers and jackhammers
Impactor crusher bars
Usage ProcedureUse AC or DC reverse polarity with normal maintenance welding procedures. Surface area should be clean and dry, however, CERTANIUM 777 is manufactured with special cleansing and fluxing agents to promote sound welds under most conditions. For vertical-down welding, hold a short arc and tilt the electrode 10° in the direction of travel, using a stringer bead technique.
Technical TipWhen joining manganese steels, use skip-welding technique to avoid temperature increase in a localized area. Do not preheat manganese steel. Interpass temperature should not exceed 500°F (260°C).
