Lockbolt fasteners have a unique, lock-groove design that ensures a secure installation. The Lockbolt is placed through the work and the collar is placed over the end of the Lockbolt. Using the proper tool the two are fastened together and the Lockbolt is broken off flush with the collar. When the core pin is flush with the collar, the fastener has been properly installed. A clean installation is ensured and can easily be confirmed with a quick visual inspection.
Multi-Grip Lockbolts have an extensive grip range that provides considerable scope and flexibility for many light-duty and heavy-duty assembly applications. They are an ideal fastener for applications where material thicknesses vary. Reduced stockholding provides significant cost effective benefits over bolt/nut, solid rivet and other traditional fastening methods. Installation is simple, quick, and requires minimal training.
