Universal Safety Coupler Aluminum 1/4" x 1/4-18
(Pack of 1)

Lawson Products

Minimize the chance of hose whip. Safety venting allows coupling and uncoupling at zero pressure, reducing the tendency of hose whip. Coupler accepts Industrial Interchange, Tru-Flate, and ARO 210 Series plugs. Use only for applications where a light-duty coupler is called for, such as assembly lines, paint shops and wall manifolds. Operation is simple, just follow the direction of the “On/Off” arrow stamped on the black valve sleeve.
• Lightweight aluminum construction
• Corrosion-resistant hard coat anodized finish and airtight nitrile seals
• Knurled sleeve for gripping
• Maximum operating pressure: 200 PSIG
• Temperature range: –20°F to +200°F (–29°C to +93°C)
To operate air sleeve valve:1. Connect plug to coupler until coupler sleeve is engaged.2. Push and turn air sleeve valve towards coupler sleeve to turn on air flow.
Coupler size is important, since a coupler that is too small can act as a restriction in the air line, reducing both the pressure and volume of air reaching the end of the hose. It is generally recommended that the body size of the coupler be matched to the I.D. of the hose being used. Thus 1/4" I.D. hose should be fitted with 1/4" I.D. couplings. Generally speaking, 3/16" I.D. hose should be fitted with 1/4" couplings, while 5/16" I.D. hose may be fitted with either 1/4" or 3/8" couplings, depending on the volume and pressure required at the end of the hose. 1/2" I.D. hose should be fitted with 1/2" couplings.
