510 Aluminum Stick Rod Electrode 1/8"
(Pack of
2.0)
The 510 Aluminum Stick Rod Electrode is the ultimate solution for maintenance and repair professionals working with aluminum components. Designed for both DC and AC current, this electrode ensures effortless arc starting and re-ignition, with minimal spatter for a clean and precise finish. Its superior brazing characteristics allow you to achieve corrosion-resistant, strong, and dense welds with excellent color matching, making it perfect for tasks like repairing irrigation pipes, refrigeration equipment, or automotive parts. Whether you're restoring boat components or building up missing sections on castings, the 510 electrode handles it all with stability and ease, leaving you with professional-grade results every single time.
Stable, quiet arc with no undercutting
Good corrosion resistance
Tensile Strength: 35,000 PSIPolarity: DC Reverse
Usage ProcedureMaintain the shortest arc possible, using DC reverse polarity only. On large heavy sections, preheating to 400°F (204°C) will produce faster, flatter deposit with no splatter. Electrode should be held almost perpendicular and use a rapid stringer or weaving technique with a backwhip at the crater. Bevel pieces 75° on sections 1/8" (3.2mm) or thicker.
