53 Pot Metal Bare Brazing Rod, Shiny Grey, 1/16"
(Pack of
1)
SKU:CW1842 Item#: CW1842
Transform challenging welding projects with the 53 Pot Metal Bare Brazing Rod, specifically engineered to join white and pot metals with exceptional strength and reliability. This lead- and cadmium-free rod operates at an extremely low temperature of just 360°F, making it perfect for delicate applications where traditional welding methods would cause warping or damage. With twice the strength of ordinary solder and an impressive tensile strength of 17,500 PSI, it creates durable bonds between dissimilar metals like copper to aluminum, brass to steel, and stainless to zinc. Whether you're repairing air conditioning units, refrigeration systems, or tackling complex multi-metal fabrication projects, this brazing rod delivers professional-grade results every time.
Lead- and cadmium-free
Extremely low melting point
Two times stronger than ordinary solder
Tensile Strength: 17,500 PSIApplication Temperature: 360°F (182°C)Recommended Flux: F53
Typical Applications
Air conditioning and refrigeration units
Brazing/soldering of copper to aluminum, brass to steel, stainless to zinc, etc.
Usage ProcedureBase metal must supply heat, as a direct flame is unworkable. A carburizing flame should be used. A flux is required for all applications where good bonding is desired.
Technical TipDo not direct torch at flux, as it will char. Allow CRONABRAZE 53 to solidify before quenching and removing flux residue. CRONASOLV™ F53 flux is recommended for all applications.
